Higher Intellect is a World Wide Web server hosting a searchable database of over 250,000 text files on a variety of subjects. We also host a server running on the Hotline and KDX protocols featuring a vast collection of antique software, obscure operating systems, and open source software. December 2011 - We are now running on our new hardware! The core node is an upgraded HP DL140 running virtualization. The server is also behind a modified Cisco firewall appliance. There are still more upgrades arriving in the upcoming weeks. We apologize for the delays involved in the new hardware deployment. Do not purchase parts from NewEgg if you expect the parts to actually work upon arrival. Paying return shipping on DOA parts was also great!

September 2011 - The Higher Intellect project turns 10 years old this month. The servers and materials were already being built earlier in 2001 but the site went live in September of 2001. We hope to keep adding to the archive and also construct new hardware to assist with the increase in traffic.

December 2010 - The site is going through a complete redesign to allow integration with some of the additions we have made since the last design was created. We are also announcing the launch of our WikiLeaks mirror, located at http://wikileaks.netfreak.ca. A new Facebook page has been created to replace the group previously set up. The new 1TB storage drive hosting the software collection seems to be working normally after some server issues caused the drive to drop recently.
